Day after my beloved grandmother died, I had to run to the corner store and I’m sure I was red-eyed and downright morose-looking. Guy tells me to smile. I tell him my grandmother died. And he goes, “God, I was just trying to be nice,” like I was the jerk.
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago! I was sitting in the entrance of a friend's house, waiting for her to get there because I arrived early. It was cold and late and I kept looking at my phone to keep myself entertained. A couple of guys walk by and I hear one say "Poor thing, she'll be cold and waiting all night" and then he cames close and tells me "He's not worth it".
One time freshman year of high school a family friend was stabbed to death by her boyfriend. We got the news during choir practice and me and another girl were outside crying. Some other girl a grade above us came out after class and said “stop crying. It’s just high school. “
Her face after we said our friend was just stabbed to death was priceless in the worst way possible.
