I worked at a Costco a bit ago and it was a particularly busy as fuck Sunday. I worked in the food court behind a counter when all of a sudden I hear screaming and running. I try to see what is going on when my coworker tells me, “get down there’s a shooter.”
So myself and a bunch of customers run into the cooler where I stacked a bunch of boxes in front of these children. It was silent for a bit and I am 100% convinced that I am going to die in a Costco freezer. The thought of a gunman coming in on a Sunday was actually probably the best time and day for him to do so given the sheer traffic of people. I hadn’t thought that I was ever going to be in that situation but in that moment, I had no doubts in my mind that it was a possibility. And that ladies and gentlemen is why shit is fucked.
Oh and there was no shooter. Somebody broke into the jewelry case and the tempered glass sounded like a gunshot. And then somebody screamed shooter.
