I read somewhere during the last referendum that if Scotland was independent, it's economy would become heavily reliant on oil/gas and would be adversely affected by any large swings in global oil prices. Any truth to this or is it more Westminster scaremongering?
As an Englishman I've no doubt you'll go, especially if Boris wins the next election. That's very bad for northern England, where we will be indefinitely doomed to Tory rule we've never wanted without the Scottish vote. Naturally I don't want Scotland to leave. You might think that's selfish and maybe it is, but if you do go I wish you well in governing your own affairs.
