Just a FYI, Irish language is compulsory subject all the way through school until we are 17-19years old. And all of our signspost are in Irish and English. From living in various part of England the past 4 years, a lot of English people don't actually know the extent of the atrocities on the Irish because its not thought in their school, just the retaliation that happened as a result. Just 60 years ago when my uncle was living in London, there were still "No Irish, No Blacks, No dogs allowed" signs on business doors.

Sorry haha hit a nerve

Edit: just to clear up; I didn't mean that the IRA is taught in English schools, I don't know the curriculum here. Just the people hear about the bombings, and assume it was for the craic?

is the irish culture the case of erasing culture or culture erased during the era of inhumane exploitation?
