Watched this film in my University English class. This exact discussion, almost word for word came up. It’s really unfortunate that so many North Americans (I attend school in Canada) don’t realize that racial issues are not exactly the same in every country, all over the world. It’s unfortunate as well that our school systems focus so heavily on our own countries, causing many people to not end up learning much about modern world history.

We tend to have an overly North America-centric world view here.

Jim Jefferies has a joke about being in Northern Ireland during this time period and some dude walks up to him with something in his hand (I can't remember if it was a bat or knife) and demands "are you a Catholic or Protestant?" Jim replies, "I'm an Atheist." To which the man responds, "yeah, but a Catholic Atheist or a Protestant Atheist?"
