The most random encounter of my life was with this man! I am from a tiny town in England (it’s really small and an absolute dump). So anyway, I pass the ‘tip’ (the local dump)... head down the lane towards the forest to walk the dog along the river in the pouring rain... it’s not too difficult to get to.. but it’s definitely a place only locals usually know about and go to.
Dog runs ahead.. I hear him barking... I catch up a bit and notice there’s a guy petting him. No big deal, not unusual. As I get to the dog the guy says hi.... PATRICK STEWART!!!!!!! It was the first time in my life I was speechless. How did I just run into him? Why Is he playing with my dog? WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING HERE?!
turns out they were shooting something the next day and were running over some camera stuff (angles and positioning etc). There were a couple of other people standing a bit further along who were the tech folk.
Long story short, he was super friendly and was loving playing with my dog. This was probably 20 years ago now so unfortunately there was no such thing as snapping a picture with him... very cool moment in my life.
