Shovel Knight for PS4 has a booklet filled with lore and even a bunch of blank "notes" section for the last couple pages. I thought that was neat.

I remember buying Metal Gear Solid 2 as it just came out and feeling amazed to find a huge manual with manga tutorials in it and shit like that. It was an amazing read. That’s about 17 years ago, game manuals were already getting more rare back then.

Then there’s the manuals for pc games like Baldur’s Gate 2. That manual was practically worthy of a hardcover.
