There's a cool documentary about the Golden gate bridge and the high suicide rates on it. It's called The Bridge. They interview the guy who this is about. He was a high schooler at the time who tried to kill himself and he said as soon as he jumped he regretted it, and when underwater he felt something bumping his leg and pushing him towards the surface. He thought it was a shark but it was a seal that saved him.
