The Google car hit the hare as it was crossing the road, flinging it up high into the air. It starts from the opposite side of the road with speed, sees the car, jumps, gains extra momentum and is now a super hare preparing for its journey into space.

No photoshop. The hare got run over be the Google car, and then lift off, as you can see in the subsequent captures.
