Don’t let anyone else dictate how you live your life. And don’t let anyone shame you for how you express yourself.
Edit: a lot of the replies are pointing out that some people’s self expression can be violent. I didn’t think about how my comment could be interpreted that way. I believe that self-expression is valid as long as it doesn’t harm or threaten others.
Speaking to a therapist is totally normal and necessary for a lot of people, I hope people and even OP don’t think that going to a therapist will make someone seem less masculine or something.
Btw ‘macho’ is different from ‘masculine’, at least to me.
