My great Grand parents met and lived in Missouri but had to go across the river to Illinois to get married, because what looked like a white man could not marry a black woman in 1933.
My parents met in south Africa in 1956. Dad white mom black.. apartheid couldn't break them. They hid for 10 years. Got married in Germany in 1967. They were together for 56 years until my dad passed
