Ruining your life by taking heroin, okay, your choice. But leaving it in places where many kids play? Seriously what the fuck is wrong with these people? Hopefully no kid gets in touch with them and their drugs

Edit: i know these people need help and they don’t realize what possible hazards they cause with their habits, but it’s still trashy and it seriously gets me angry.

I was at a conference in the Seattle area and happened to be talking to a local engineer who also coaches little league baseball. He told me that they have to walk the fields before the first game every night to make sure there are no needles in the field. They regularly find them. I sure am glad that this is not that big of an issue where I live. We still walk the fields looking for holes, glass, etc, but I have never once found anything like this.

This problem is beyond sad for me. My wife is a correctional officer and she says that somewhere around 70% of the women in the prison are in addiction treatment. It really makes me worry about my son as he grows up.

I worked in medical records at a family practice clinic for a few years. You’d be surprised how many people come in to get tested after getting stuck by a needle some junkie tossed out.
