Reading this makes me feel so helpless. We read about stuff like this in history books and growing up it's easy to wonder how people allowed this to happen. But what am I doing? Sitting in my bedroom in a red state browsing the internet.
I don't really have strong feelings on immigration either way. I do think people should proceed in a legal fashion, of course. But I just don't see this type of situation as being proportionate to the "crime". It's horrifying.
