When watching the new Twin Peaks, I was amazed at how many of the original cast Lynch managed to get back right before they died. But Bowie was the one who got away. A cameo from him as a dying Jeffries would have been one of the most remarkable things in television history. Still, he was recast as a giant kettle, and I think he'd have liked that.
