Someone in my parents' neighborhood did something similar. His fence was on the wrong side of a blind curve and he had a few drunk drivers go through it, so he installed half a dozen boulders in front of the fence. IIRC there was some debate in the town about whether he could do that, or if it was too big of a hazard to drivers (who'd have to swerve 6 feet off the road to get anywhere near his boulders lol)
This exact thing happened at the grocery store where I work! Some lady got her car stuck on rock with all 4 wheels off the ground like this. Guess what she said when I went to ask if she needed help:
Lived one house up from a corner on a mildly busy intersection. Had one too many drunk drivers take the left turn wide and plow into our mailbox, so my dad got the permit, and bolted a concrete and brick mailbox to the ground.
It ended up getting demolished on the 3rd or 4th time it was hit, but the drivers never were tough to catch.
Brick mailbox 2.0, however, is still standing 25 years later.
