Those dads are crazy. The trick is to wake up earlier than everyone else and not mention it so you actually get a couple hours of peace and quiet to yourself.
8am on the first day of a holiday dad has already walked down to the jetty, bought a newspaper, investigated the houses/prices in the window of the local real estate agent and is ready to ‘come on folks lets go’
Also dads seem to do their best work when it comes to dad jokes and general weird things to say on holidays.
