What sucks is that I stopped needing to use Spanish at age 18 and now that I text and email with my old friends and family back in Mexico, they all use the Spanish equivalent of "text speech" or "leet speak" and no one opens their exclamations, uses accents or bother with spelling. "¡Qué hubo!" turned to "quiubo?," "¿Qué?" has turned into "ke?" just like people will do "UR" instead of "your" or "you're" or "you are." Even my 65 year old mother does it.
