Saw something similar once. Speak English yelled at some Mexicans, then one of them turns and in almost non-accented English says “Miss, we speak English just fine. But you’re not going to want to hear this next part we have to say about you.”
I'm really trying to understand why some folks love their own level of ignorance so much that as opposed to hearing someone speak another language that they don't understand and thinking, "I'd like to learn so I know what they are saying" they exclaim, "learn my language dammit!"
It seems to me to be an extremely entitled mentality that you don't understand something so the world should conform to your ignorance.
