He seems really thankful for his role as Iron Man and everything that followed because of that. From everything I've seen and heard about him, he is a really genuine guy
This whole ride for RDJ must have been so emotional. After becoming sober it was hard for him to find work in Hollywood. Hell Kevin Fiege had to fight for him to be Iron Man. I’d say Tony Starks redemption story arc is somewhat parallel to Robert Downey Jrs life. He’s made so many friends in the mcu and it brought him his life as an actor back.
