Yup, I totally bought it because it just didn't sound like the thing D&D would make up, and it fits poetically with Bran having the first chapter in the main series.
Hopefully we someday find out how in the seven hells GRRM gets there!
EDIT: Also tracks from what we saw that GRRM told D&D literally nothing else about his plans for Bran besides the Hodor thing because... they had no idea what to do with him.
Am I the only one that finds Bran getting on the throne kind of ominous between the Blood Raven's history, and now the apparent involvement with the Children of the Forest? I'm kind of led to believe in the books there is a hidden agenda with him becoming king, and that it will have nothing to do with him having a "calm understanding of the universe".
is anyone else laughing at the fact that GRRM told D&D 2 things about Bran, and then Bran literally does nothing EXCEPT those 2 things during the last 3 seasons?
season 6: hold the door, runs away
season 7: gives arya dagger? talks to people?
season 8: does nothing. becomes king
it's like they didn't even try to do fill in anything else between those 2 events
