You're right, it's not ok, BUT THATS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS SUBPLOT. Do you actually believe the writers are going to have Billy and Karen riding off into the sunset together in the end? There's no way this is going to end well for either of them. Stop acting like every portrayal of a taboo topic in media is somehow endorsing said taboo.
