I once filed a very detailed bug report for a PS4 game, regarding a game breaking bug. I've seen a few people complain but nobody ever had a solution.
So I sent an email to the support and also described a workaround I personally figured out, then asked them for any solid fixes.
They literally Copy & Pasted the workaround I wrote them and replied to me with that in the next email.

Reddit is a great example of the power of and problems with groupthink. I've gotten both zero and 2100+ upvotes here for the exact same comment, on the same sub.
It's a weird place--good thing it doesn't matter.
