The benefit of a college degree has gone down critically while the cost has exploded exponentially. Colleges have made expanding their payrolls in ridiculous areas in order to support bogus majors/expanding cost.
The cheapest tuition on average i found is about 5k a semester from state schools. If taxes go into state schools at some level then why the fuck is it so expensive? The buildings have often been around for like a hundred years, the teachers dont make that much, and sports supposedly bring in bank especially with athletes making no money. It's so fucked
