I'm kidding. But I seriously hate this.

I also hate when people are made fun of instead of corrected.

I would love to say I don't do it, but who the fuck would I be kidding.

People are assholes.

One of my team members is a Honduran teenager. Great personality, impressive skills. Sometimes he starts telling a joke, then stops, because he realises he can't convey it in English.

He says, "sorry I dont know how to not sound stupid in English." So I looked it up on my phone and replied, in Spanish, "that's okay I sound stupid in Spanish and English."

Imo, it depends on how you learned that second or subsequent language(s). If you learned them as you were growing up or if you had to actively learn them on your own later in life. I am bilingual, but I learned both simultaneously as a child; which doesn't make me super intelligent. If on the other hand I had the commitment, drive, and intellectual capacity and learned more languages, well then...maybe.
