i cat sat for my MIL. her cat would lay about all day... but if you were up past 10 pm she would come over and yowl at you until you went to bed..

I’ve started turning my light out at 11pm because my hamster won’t come out of her nest unless it’s dark. I don’t go to bed until 2am. I’ve shaped my life around the routine of a rat that lives in a box.

I get up at least once in the middle of every night to let my dog out. He has trained me to do this by pissing on the floor. He is a harsh master.
