I’m Sure this decimated the fresh bread stock at the time and they bake their bread at intervals based upon prior demand.
I’m willing to bet this was also during a lunch/dinner rush. This drives their regular business away and the people who order like this are not regulars or they would know better.
I hate to say this but you sacrifice business like this to not impact your steady regular business.
