The fact that dental work is considered cosmetic when a tooth infection could kill you is just another thing that disgusts me about our healthcare system. Ofcourse even if your insurance did cover it you'd have to pay out 10k before they covered anything but that's another story entirely.
Edit: Here is just one of many examples where an American died from a tooth infection because he couldn't afford dental care. Clearly it's cosmetic /s
Lump that in there with the fact that I'm legally blind without vision correction but glasses and contacts are also considered a luxury that isn't medically necessary to have.

One of the things that baffles me about the UK health care system. Teeth, eyes and feet are all excluded from nhs treatment.
