I can tell you, pretty certainly, there was, infact, not an attempt.
Edit: I didn't expect this to be my most popular comment thread, but whatever. I just wanted to say I'm not supporting Jimmy's Seafood in anyway shape or form. I'm not anti vegan, infact I find some vegan food to be rather appealing. I was just stating a fact that Jimmy's was not actually trying to make a vegan meal.

Honestly it looks like tofu to me. I worked in a large kitchen and I did most of the special meals- I’ve seen a lot of tofu in my day.
