Kids spray painted “Fortnite”in front of our drive way and we didn’t know who did it. The parents showed up the next day and cleaned it up. 1000% respect.
When I was a teenager, my friends and I were dumb, horrible assholes and we would egg this girl's house all the time. The last time, there were ~20 of us. We arrive at the house, throw eggs, and scatter. Needless to say, they were expecting us and I was the one who got caught. That night, I was driven home in a paddywagon and delivered in handcuffs to my mortified parents.
The next day, my father went to their house and, with the girl's father, they washed all of the egg off together. In that moment, I had never felt more shame and remorse for my actions. In that moment, I had never felt more respect and admiration for my father. He is a shy and reserved man and I can't imagine that was easy for him to do. I still think about him doing that a lot. I cannot express how much I learned that day.
