Ernie took over the Wizards in June of 2003, about 3 weeks before Lebron was drafted. He's the second longest GM the franchise ever had, only behind the guy that brought them the 78 title.
Since he took over, the Wizards have had a win rate of 44%. They never made a conference finals. They never won 50 games. And they somehow didn't know that Marshon Brooks and Dillon Brooks were not, in fact, the same person.
I've never heard anything but nice things about Ernie, but good riddance to one of the longest running bad GMs in NBA history.
