I used to go camping at this lake a lot and there were always these two loons there. One year a kid threw a rock or something at one and it died (unsure of its related but it’s still shitty to throw rocks at birds) and floated onto our shore so we buried it in the trees. For the rest of the week we could hear the other one calling out. It was really sad, I don’t think I ever saw the other one again either.
Edit: I just realized when I said this lake it looks like I’m referring to the one in post- I meant this lake I went to a lot in Alberta that my step fathers parents/uncle owned property on (hence “our shore”)
Some piece of shit did something like this at my old school. My class spent the week fixing up the schools interior courtyard. New trees, garden and pond with fish. at the end of the year ducks had started a family there with several ducklings. Over the summer pieces of shit that will forever be on my hit with a car list broke in snapped the trees, trashed the garden, poisoned the pond and murdered the ducks. Here's the truly fucked part. The courtyard is totally encircled by the school. Someone brought a ladder to climb over the building for the purpose of being a disgusting pile of dog shit
