Reminds me of a sweet random act of kindness I had a few weeks ago. Mum and I took my nephew (he's 2 tomorrow!) to the local pho restaurant because we all love pho. It has some coin machines by the front door including one that spits out little plastic dogs. He has a few at home already because we usually get him one when we go for lunch. We're sitting waiting for food when some guys come in, they were in coveralls so likely construction workers on their lunch break. One of the guys sees my nephew happily trying to talk to my mum and me (he's starting to put small sentences together) and he goes over and puts in a loonie, cranks the lever, and brings over one of the dog toys for my nephew. It was so sweet. My nephew can't quite say thank you yet but he says "lettuce" which to him means thank you, and sure enough as the guy handed it to him he said it, which was super cute.
Damn I can picture a kid seeing one of them and being so stoked. Then they notice that the one next to it has coins, then all of them has coins, and they end up with a gumball from every machine lol.
