I used to think he was corny as hell but the whole thing has grown on me. My brother-in-law has told me DDD is the greatest food show on TV because he goes and finds people who make amazing food and puts the spotlight on them instead of it just being him cooking stuff on his own the whole time. That completely changed my perspective on it.
Everything I’ve seen and heard points to him being an awesome guy.
