What a shitty job. Imagine having to hold up a veil for Curiosity for 6 years. Like that's your job. Sure you have a co-worker, but what if you don't get along? What if you really need this job and can't leave to find something better. Just stuck in the dead-end job that was only contracted for two years, but was extended indefinitely.
You don't think the aliens are advanced enough to make some really cool and fancy technology to blow us away like a mount that holds the mirror on the Rover?
