Spending thanksgiving tomorrow locked out of my own apartment, while my ex and her new bf refuse to leave the the residence : legaladvice

For context I'm in Washington state, and 3 weeks ago my ex gf and I got into an arguing match. Essentially faces in front of each other screaming at the top of our lungs. Then randomly she starts screaming I spit on her, that I am advancing on her, then grabs my hand and bites the hell out of it.now she says she's calling the cops. At this point im in full wtf mode. The only thing she could even consider as spit is saliva leaving my mouth as we where arguing. Cops arrive quickly and question us both, she saying I advanced on her, me denying it. Sits in his car for a bit, comes back and tells me I'm under arrest for domestic violence assault in the 4th degree. Spent a night in jail, out on own recogniscence the following day. But with the stipulation of a no contact order with my gf

Fast forward 3 weeks to this last monday. I'm sitting at my apt, when my ex texts me she is coming over to get her stuff. I know I can't be around her, so I grab some stuff and go to leave. Her and her new bf greet me in the parking lot with general douchebaggery, trying to be as intimidating as possible towards me. At this point in so tired of this circus with her I want out. Head over to my mom's house which is about 5 miles away, as I pull in cop pulls up right behind me.

Officer says my ex called to report I broke the no trespassing order. By her coming to my apt while I'm there I'm still at fault so I get arrested, officer stated the state ties his hands he has to make an arrest. mom's crying all the while big scene, I gotta try my best to calm her down, even the officer telling her he didn't believe I shud be arrested. Spent Monday and most of Tuesday in county jail.

I got out last night, to find that her and her new bf are literally squatting in my apt with my possessions and refuse to leave. I have called my managers, the police dept, and several local lawyers and all of them said I am basically screwed. Apparently when the cops questioned her she claimed she lived there, and in the court records her home address was now the same as mine. Even though she is not on the lease, or any utilities in her name, I have been told she cannot be force out without going through the long eviction process.....on myself. Landlords said they would have to evict whole houshold, so I'd get screwed too.

So currently she is sitting in my apt, with the utilities I pay for, with her new bf, while I'm stuck at my mom's. This is the craziest thing I have ever had happen, i can't believe she has the right to force me out of my own home that I pay for.

I have tried contacting lawyers, but all have been had full clients or so expensive I couldn't dream of hiring them. I'm in a very rough spot because I lost my job due to jail and had to fix the wheel bearing on my car with my last bit of cash. I have a public defender, but they along with the rest of the world don't care because it's thanksgiving and everyone wants to go have their family time. I get it, but it really sucks when shitt like this happens.

Honestly I just want any advice, I've never even been to court before this. At this point my options are so bleak anything can give me hope. Happy thanksgiving everybody, hope it goes better for u then me

Edit: thank u for all the advice, this is my first post ever, done on mobile as I don't have alot of time. U guys make me feel like I'm not the only one who thinks this is bullshitt. I'll try to answer comments when I have time I know I left some info out

A similar thing happened to my aunt a few years ago actually

She bought a house in her name only. Her girlfriend lived with her. They were fighting one night and the girlfriend broke a window by throwing something and she called the police saying my aunt was becoming physical (she did physically try to restrain the girlfriend, because girlfriend was trying to swing punches at her)

The police came and arrested my aunt and she spent the night in jail. Following her release my aunt wasn’t allowed in her house because it was where girlfriend lived, and she can’t be around her. My mom had to text girlfriend so she could go around to the house to pick up my aunt’s things when girlfriend was at work; aunt stayed at my parent’s house

There was some court visit involved, maybe several. Not really sure how it resolved my mom didn’t explain it well! But the girlfriend is very unhinged and during their relationship did a lot of fucked up stuff like run up debt on aunts credit cards, take advantage of her dying mother financially, walk into aunts room in the night with a baseball bat

Luckily my aunt and her broke up and she moved out. Ex somehow got a new girlfriend, one with money and a weak spine, and the new girlfriend paid the the debt’s of the ex to my aunt

What happens if he occupies the apartment when she leaves for work? Then would her trying to kick him out would be the illegal eviction/violation of no-contact order?

I don't really understand why he ran out of his own apartment and allowed his ex access. Then the cops threatened him over it? Cops are better versed on how restraining orders work than this. There is much more to this story.
