I never really understood the backlash against comedians who make it.
Like what is he supposed to do? Just keep hitting comedy clubs and not make millions of dollars so that people will 'respect' his career. Ask any circuit comedian how quickly they would sign up to do a movie with Will Farrell. Not even for millions like Kevin Hart, just be in a movie scene with him.
People are acting like his early standup wasn't original and funny now that he's cashed in. Dude is caught up on the same hustle we all are. Trying to put two and two together to provide for himself and his family.
I really respect Dave Chappelle for walking away from Hollywood, it doesn't mean his recent stand up is better because of it.
