It was a building deemed unsafe to live in, so it was first painted with graffiti, and when it was finally scheduled for demolition a couple of artists decided to paint it black as a sort of wake for the place.
The house is gone today.
*The artists are called Erik Sturm und Simon Jung - and one of them at least has a website : http://eriksturm.eu/haus-in-schwarz_07_2008_1/
