Our mailman had to change neighborhoods and my bubba is in quite the depression over it. He and my dog were best friends - he would leave a treat everyday and if he saw my car he would come to the door to say hello to the pup if he had time.
But now, every day my buddy runs to the mailbox to see if there are any treats and then to the front porch to see if the mailman left his treat on a package... And looks so sad every damn day. The mailman had the best treats, the ones I give my bub to try and make up for his heartache don't come close.
