None of that is going to happen. Almost none of them will admit to it. There will be a generation of conservatives are convinced that he was one of the greatest presidents to ever live. It will be just like with Nixon. It was an an incredibly common sentiment among Republicans that Nixon was innocent and a victim of partisan politics well into the 90s.

If the end of the Bush administration is any indication, they'll deny ever supporting Trump, deny even being republicans, and blame the whole thing on democrats.
