Fun Fact: Washington’s letters and eventual change of belief towards slavery is used in Ethics as an example of how a person can have a complete moral change in direct opposition to their prevailing society
Over time he gradually came to believe slavery is evil. Apparently not strong enough to free his slaves until he died tho.
