I just realized we've now reached a time period where it isn't weird to hear the phrase "my mom is a gamer", because people my age are parents.
My parents though, have only played one video game in their lives ever, and that was wii bowling at some kind of party they went to. They talked all about it for days. Aside from that, they tell me that there used to be a channel you could flip to, put seranwrap on your tv, and use markers to complete mazes and puzzles or something. My dad's brother owned an Atari, but I think that between the religious cults and the war, my dad never found time to touch the joystick.
