Linemen have the most dangerous and thankless job. Anything that gets them some recognition is great.

Linemen are usually pretty grounded guys.

This made me chuckle hard, but also reminded me of my Dad.

He worked for Bellsouth for 32 years before he retired. He climbed poles all the time, and he had a death grip when he’d shake your hands because of it. I sometimes used to even see him on a pole outside of school during recess.

He passed away last year after having Lewy Body Dementia eat away at him for 2 years. One thing he did before passing in the nursing home, though, was he disassembled and reassembled one of their phones. He shocked all of he nurses.

So thank you for posting this, and helping me smile and remember some great things about my Dad.
