Authorities say they charged a man and woman who were caught on video illegally dumping items at a wildlife preserve in Hocking County.

The Hocking County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio Division of Wildlife asked for the public's help identifying pair Thursday.

The sheriff's office says the incident took place in July off Sand Run Road.

Video shows the man and woman illegally dumping televisions, tires and other various items.

The sheriff's office says based on tips received, it identified the two individuals as Corey Webb and Amanda Pyke, of Perry County. The Ohio Division of Wildlife, with the assistance of the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and their Litter Control Deputy, made contact with the Web and Pyke. They both confessed to dumping items at multiple locations, according to the sheriff's office.

Webb and Pyke were charged with littering on state property and operating a vehicle in a non-designated area, both misdemeanors.

Why do people dump trash in places like this? I know dumping trash is wrong but come the fuck on, have they never seen a dumpster? You could go to any apartment complex or behind any business and find a dumpster, it's still wrong to dump trash there but it is better than trashing a nature reserve.

Do they make them clean it up, in addition to the littering ticket? I think people like this should be made to clean up other people’s litter, too. Maybe they’d learn a life lesson.

Fuck yeah. Scumbags like this get away with so much. At least once they get caught out.
