One of my professors did this at the start of every lecture. He once asked if any of us had pets growing up, and one girl raised her hand.
When called on, she blurted (it’s the best way I can describe the quick, loud, and high pitched way she answered) that she had, and I quote, “105 hamsters.”
My professor, and the rest of the class, were speechless for a solid 15-20 seconds.
