This might be a dumb question, coming from a woman who wears makeup nearly everyday, but why would someone use a cloth to take makeup off? Do they wet it and wipe/scrub it off? Add makeup remover to it and scrub again? I use a makeup wipe then wash my face. I dont understand why someone would exfoliate the shit out of their face with this.

Seems to be the norm now. Last 3 hotels we stayed in all had it. All different chains too.
