A 24-year-old American man has been arrested after he urinated on another passenger during a trans-Pacific flight.

According to police, the incident occurred aboard an All Nippon Airways flight from Chicago to Narita airport on Friday, Fuji TV reported. The suspect urinated on a 50-year-old Japanese man seated two rows behind him.

He was restrained by crew and handed over to police after the aircraft arrived in Japan.

Police said the suspect had consumed at least five glasses of champagne before the incident and told them he couldn’t remember what he did.

Police said the two men did not know each other.

My husband and I did that same flight in the Fall of 2016. I got the unlucky middle seat between my husband and a younger guy I believe was in some branch of the armed forces. I had 2 glasses of wine and fell asleep. I woke up because I had to go to the bathroom and the other guy was gone. I got up to go to the bathroom and one of the attendants followed me and knocked on the door as I was attempting to use the bathroom. I open the door and she asks "do you have a medical condition we need to be made aware of?" "Umm no?" She then proceeded to tell me that my seat mate had stated I peed on his seat in my sleep. I am not sure where this guy got his basic human anatomy classes but I'm pretty sure it's impossible for a woman to piss out the side of her leg. My pants and seat were also completely dry. They came over with a biohazard bag and switched out his cushion then moved him further back in the plane. I called an attendant after and asked what the hell was going on and she just said "oh sweetie don't worry about it, accidents happen!" I was fuming. I even wrote a letter to American Airlines after I got home and they said that the flight notes referenced the incident and that they are sorry for the way their crew handled my "accident".
