Start brushing it now and teach it to like it. Then brush the cat as often as possible.
They don’t shed much when they’re this little, if at all. But it’s good to get them used to the feeling of being brushed so that they like it when they’re older and shedding.

My wife was allergic to cats. She is no longer allergic to them. Ours, anyway. With any luck, you'll be fine, too.
