A cancer patient has returned home after her last chemotherapy session to be greeted by a surprise street parade by her friends and family.

The heartwarming footage shows Cristina Muneton, 58, moved to tears as she is driven home through her neighbourhood past her friends, family and members of her church community chanting her name and wielding congratulatory signs and balloons.

We see them make their way through her neighbourhood streets in Jacksonville, Florida accompanied by her friend.

They pass Cristina's neighbours who welcome her by chanting songs in Spanish, Cristina's native country, and screaming 'we love you' through her window.

The surprise was arranged by her niece Belkis Plata, 32, who wanted to celebrate her aunt after beating ovarian cancer.

According to Healthline, the disease kills about 14,000 women every year, mainly occurring in women after they reach menopause.

Belkis, who features at the beginning of the video, organised the surprise parade and arranged for her friend to fib and say she was taking a d-tour on the way home because she had to get her car fixed.

Cristina suffered from ovarian cancer, a disease which claims around 14,000 women's lives in America, according to the Healthline website

'Today we're celebrating my aunt's last chemo,' says Belkis as she pans the camera around showing the animated crowds who are holding up colourful hand-made signs and balloons.

On seeing the display from the car, an emotional Cristina gasps, 'Oh goodness! For the love of god, your going to make my heart burst!'

'This is beautiful. What a wonderful surprise.

Accompanied by a friend, Cristina passes her neighbours, friends and members of her church community who are all holding signs and balloons and chanting Spanish songs

'God is good. Would you look at that,' she says in disbelief holding her hands over her face.

She turns to her friend and gives her a playful smack; 'There is nothing wrong with your car, you liar!' she laughs.

The footage shows Cristina completely welling up at the touching display organised by her beloved niece Belkis Plata, right

As she gets closer to her home, she becomes completely overcome and thanks the people outside, blowing them kisses as tears stream down her cheeks.

Turning to Cristina, her friend tells her she deserves it. 'You know how much we love and admire you.'

I feel like I could never be able to deal with this amount of happiness without having an anxiety/panic attack.
