Exactly, I don't need to be told every article that I should stop buying $5 lattes every day... god I wish that could be a problem for me.

The in laws gave us the advice to put 500 aside every month for car payments.

Another 500 for pet emergencies.

Another 50 or so for eating out.

Everything else is fun.

"So far your advice, after rent and bills, has put me at about negative 800 dollars. Man, you didn't leave me much room for fun!"

They're millionaires. I just barely became salaried in retail (and am aggressively seeking other employment because my company is not a good one). The future wife is trying to find a job but hasn't had luck past a little part time one.

They think I'm being stubborn and rejecting their advice when its stuff like this all the time.
