BB King is great. When I was 15 my dad took me to see him on Easter Sunday. We walked up day of show and got front row center. Bobby Blue Bland was not happy about the white guys sitting front and center at his blues show and made sure to tell everyone that between songs. Not only was he a racist asshole but his set was horrible compared to BB and the other opening act The Manhattans. BB came out and played a song or two and just blew everyone away as always. Then he stopped the show to take the time to say that it doesn't matter who is sitting where or what color they were, they are here for the blues just like anyone else. He broke a string on Lucille later in the show and gave it to me.
